I subscribed to the service by calling the number given on the website.  The person i spoke with was very friendly.  After signing up my initial cost was about $40(setup fee & shipping).  My phone adapter was shipped the next day and i received in within three days.  The V-Phone, which looks like a memory stick, is not included and can be purchased at Wal-Mart or any comparable shopping center for about $20.  I suggest you buy from one of these stores as it is more expensive online.  Setup couldn’t be easier.  You plug in the V-Phone and wait.  The software loads without installing anything so you don’t need administrator access to use it.

You can use the phone adapter and the V-Phone without having to get two separate phone lines. You just have to go to the control panel on the vonage website and add new hardware.

The V-Phone works out great for me.  It allows me to keep in touch with family and friends from anywhere in the world.  It does cost nearly $25/month, but you can easily spend that on a phone card that might get you an hour of talk time…provided you can figure out how to dial out on foreign phone system.

Vonage gets my vote!
